Canadian Art Montague has been writing professionally about Canadiana and Canadian history for more than a decade.
In the vein of popular history, Montague has authored five books in the Amazing Stories series, including Canada's Rumrunners, Disasters Across Canada, and The Canadian Horse (James Lorimer & Co. Ltd., publisher).
Montague's work also includes more than 200 articles in print and electronic media. He is a long time contributor to the Old Farmer's Almanac, Canadian Edition. He fully realized the significance of the military to Canada's history and subsequent development as a nation while he was researching an article for the Almanac about the impact of the British Royal Engineers, followed by a more comprehensive article for History magazine.
Montague presently lives with his family in Perth, Ontario, about midway between CFB Trenton, Kingston, and CFB Petawawa, and close to Ottawa.
